The occasional modulations made by Voltalis over short periods, in addition to Sylvain's control, are imperceptible.
The issue
We are all in the midst of a cost-of-living crisis. Electricity costs are continually increasing, taking up more of the household budget. Sylvain’s home has an air-to-water heat pump and an electric radiator in a room not covered by the heat pump. He was eager to find a simple, free solution to optimise his electricity use without causing additional disruption to an already busy home.
The Voltalis solution
Smart thermostat for the heat pump and radiator
A certified Voltalis technician installed a smart thermostat to connect both the heat pump and the electric radiator. The devices are now equipped with compatible control units that work with their respective brands and models, without affecting the manufacturer's warranty.
Once installed, Voltalis works silently in the background modulating the flow of energy, optimising the consumption of each connected device. Those savings are communicated back to the grid in real time.
Sylvain can now control both devices remotely using the MyVoltalis app, which the technician helped him download and set up. He created a weekly heating schedule based on his family’s routine—ensuring the devices are only on when the family is home. When they are away, he turns the devices off remotely and reactivates them just before they return to make sure the house is comfortably warm.
The automatic optimisations made to save energy by Voltalis, alongside Sylvain's own control via the app, are so short that they go unnoticed until you see the benefits.
